Upcoming MusicLeader South East Workshop: Know Your Urban & Dance Genres

Graham will be looking at:

* History, evolution, stylistics and ingredients of a variety of popular urban and dance genres
* Understanding origins, evolution and development of urban styles
* Using Urban and Dance Genres in workshops with young people


For each genre there would be some listening and appraising, some discussion about context, development, musical elements and a practical session focusing on rhythmic and some other central ingredients - soundworld, structure etc..

The following genres would be covered, House, Reggae, Hip Hop, Drum and Bass, RnB, Grime and Dubstep.
