Training in Oxford- Making your CV Work for You

In this workshop you will learn to:

• Develop the basis of an improved CV

• Broaden your understanding of the different types of jobs and income streams available to you as a musician

• Improve your understanding about your transferable skills and where you might look for income in other sectors

• Develop an optimistic and balanced view of how to progress your career, with some realistic aims, and the beginnings of an achievable action plan.

Launch Event of Musical Routes

Do you have ‘roots’ in music?

Are you interested in a future within the music industry?

Not quite sure how to go about it?

Do you want to find out more about potential musical career prospects?

‘Musical Routes’ is a series of careers events aimed at students and members of the wider community across Hampshire who wish to pursue a career in the music industry. The launch event will be on Wednesday 25th May 2011 and will comprise of a panel discussion between a diverse and exciting handful of representatives from music organisations and independent music practitioners. The evening will then open up into a meet, greet and chat drinks reception, open to all attendees and panel members. Stalls from a variety of musical organisations will be open for perusal over drinks and nibbles.
