Youth Music Voices is a major new project providing 14-19 year olds with the opportunity to join in and celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games through singing.
By joining Youth Music’s national singing team, young singers can be part of London 2012 without having to be a sporting great.
One hundred and fifty young people from the broadest cultural mix across the UK will be working together as the Youth Music Voices Ensemble – a youth vocal ensemble unlike any other in the UK. The young singers will produce vibrant and exciting music throughout the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.
As well as developing these young singers to the highest standard, the Youth Music Voices Ensemble will be performing at a prestigious London location on the eve of the London 2012 Games.
Youth Music Voices is part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, a programme that runs for four years from the end of the Beijing games in 2008 to the end of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London in 2012.
How do I get involved?
From July 2010 to March 2011, we will be hosting regional launch events across the UK. Come along to find out how you can join Youth Music’s national singing team and be part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. Check out the regional launch events page for more info.
